Please do not climb in or on the nearby ruins. You do not need to enter them to find the cache.
Before it became the Rye Nature Center, the Parsons family lived here from 1902-1942. They went to extraordinary lengths to save one of the trees near their house and, in one way, it worked. After you find the cache, you can walk around the outside of the building foundation and check out the kiosks showing what the area and house looked like at the beginning of the 1900s. While you are here you can continue your hike or check out the nearby Rye Nature Center, playground, garden, and trails. After you find the cache, you can click the Hint button to find out the history of this strange object.
