The Portland Police Bureau is joining the Geocaching community, and we would like to invite you to join us at our kick-off event! The event will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 9:00 am to 4:00pm, and will be located in the North Precinct Community Room.
The event will begin with a meeting from 9:00-9:30am, with the coin challenge beginning at 9:30am. Instructions for the coin challenge will be covered at the meeting, and we will have a guest attending from Groundspeak as well!
Parking is available at the event location. There will be 6 physical (loggable) and 4 virtual (non-loggable) caches, all traditional style....plus the event itself, for a total of 7 loggable caches.
We hope to host an event cache at least twice a year, and are planning to host special events (coin challenges, CITO events, etc) a few times each year as well. We will be awarding 50 coins as prizes for this challenge. These coins are not trackables, but they are very nice (and rare) collectible challenge coins.
Please join us at this Kick-Off Event and meet some of the officers and other community members who enjoy geocaching. Please sign the log indicating you plan to attend (and how many will be in your group) so we know how many attendees to prepare for, and be sure to bring someone with you! We look forward to seeing you there!
