It is said that the distance of approximately 3.5km from Iwamuro Kannon in Yoshimi-town to Yoshimi Kannon was the pilgrimage routes for praying to Yoshimi Kannon from ancient times. Therefore in this section, there are many lucky Ojizou-sama and Buddhist temples believed that to work for a wish by local people and pilgrim from old days. In late years the couples going along thiese routes for praying "Yoshimi Kannon" where a wish comes true are increasing rapidly. Do you not go on the road of the wish with Geocaching ?
It is informed that Koubou-taishi craved Kannon-statue and offered it in the cave of Iwamuro-Kannon. Iwamurokannon was believed and was supported by the successive lord of Matsuyama castle. When Hideyoshi Toyotomi let Matsuyama castle fall in 1590, the temple was destroyed by fire. It is said that the current temple rebuilt during 1661 through 1673 of the Edo era. The cache was hidden in the middle of a mountain path going to the ruins of castle from Iwamurokannon. Please be careful not to slip enough.

弘法大師が一尺一寸の観音像を彫刻して、岩室観音の岩窟に納められたと伝えられます。 岩室観音は松山城主が代々信仰し護持していましたが、天正18年（1590年）豊臣秀吉の関東出陣で松山城が落城したとき焼失し、現在のお堂は江戸時代の寛文年間（1661～1673年）に再建したものと伝えられています。
キャッシュは、岩室観音から松山城址に向かう山道の途中に隠しました。 キャッシュの手前は急登になっていますので、滑らないように十分気をつけてください。
