Ohio was admitted to the Union of the USA in 1803, so in 2003 we celebrated our bicentennial. This little park was developed to showcase, in a granite memorial, the 200-year history of the state.
Owners of both establishments that use this driveway are aware of the cache. From SR 22/East Pike, use the driveway to the west of GZ. The landowner has given permission to access the grounds 24/7 including the gravel parking areas and areas east of the driveway for the purpose of finding the cache and viewing the monument. Landowner does ask that cachers should park ONLY in the gravel areas; please do not park on the driveway or on the grass... or along the main roads.
The poison ivy/thorns/ticks attributes are displayed because the landowner does not always mow a narrow area between the lawn and the cache. When the cache was placed, none of these were evident, but sometimes they may be.
Note: the "friendly cat" that some cachers see is named Hondo.
Remember to trade equal or trade up when it comes to SWAG. I have tried to keep the majority of the SWAG in zipbags to hopefully keep it cleaner.
