Geocache Description:

This series has been put out there in the spirit of the Rugby World Cup of 2015 played in England.

URUGUAY


The Los Teros (Southern Lapwing), as the Uruguay National Rugby Team is known, has been playing rugby since 1948. Uruguay beat Russia in two playoff matches to claim the 20th for the RWC 2015. Their largest defeat was against South Africa in 2005 where they lost 3-134.

Uruguay won the South American Rugby Championship in 1981, the only time that a team other than Argentina won it. Their biggest win was over Paraguay in 2011 where they won 102-6. Up until the 4 December 2012, Uruguay has won 81 of their 175 matches played, a win percentage of 46.29%.
