This is one of many caches placed on the Shoreline Trail at Walborn Reservoir. You can park at either the Marina Parking lot on Price Street or at Reeder Road Trailhead. This 1,852 acre park is home to a 472-acre lake and hiking / equestrian trails. The lake is perfect for kayakers / canoeists. The trails wind through woods and brushlands as well as oak and hickory forests. The park is also home to bald eagles, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, osprey and migratory waterfowl. Wildflowers such as mayapple and trillium can also be found. The reservoir was named after Dale Walborn, the former mayor of Alliance, who was instrumental in developing the park.
You likely won't encounter a lot of other people, but keep an eye out for other trail users.
Bring your own pen / pencil.
