Geocache Description:

Rodmarton is situated approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) north-east of Tetbury and 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Cirencester, and is close to Gloucestershire's border with Wiltshire. The village's proximity to Wiltshire appears to give origin to part of the parish's name, as the Old English maer means "boundary".

St. Peter's consists of nave, chancel, north transept/chapel, south chapel, south tower with spire, and south porch.

The tower is 14th C and is located at the south transept. The splayed foot of the spire is lead-covered. The nave was remodelled in the 15th C with Perp windows and embattled south parapet with gargoyles.

The interior walls of the nave are scraped and there is an early 19th C plaster ceiling. The chancel was restored in 1883-84 by Waller & Son.

The plain Perp font is of 1859. The south door is partly 15th C with closing ring and keyhole.

There is stained glass in the church by Hardman, 1876; and Wailes, 1873.

In the churchyard there are a number of chest tombs, dating from the 17th to 19th C.
