The start time will be 6:15 p.m. and end at 6:45 p.m. Feel free to hang around shorter or longer than the posted time as I will be down town until after the ball goes up! Pittsburgh's First Night events will be going on from 6p.m. - 12a.m. Pins can be purchased at Giant Eagle or www.firstnightpgh.org and tickets for different shows are free. Having a pin is not a requirement for attending First Night or signing the log book of my event.
For more years that I can remember TeamLegoTJL and myself have been coming down town Pittsburgh to ring in the new year and injoy the festivities. The past 4 or so years we have even roasted marshmallows and or chestnuts over the fires they have burning in the 50 gallon steel drums they have set up on almost every corner to help keep us warm. This year we would like to start / add to the tradition by adding a flashmob to the mix. There will be a log book to sign, marshmallows to be roasted, and a group photo. I know christmas will have been over with for a week by this piont, but I was hoping even thought not required that we could all be wearing a santa hat of some sort.
