Geocache Description:

This is a quick multi- cache in and around a historical building, which has recently re-opened. There is room for small swaps.

Entry to the building is free. Opening hours: Monday 1000-1800, Tuesday 1000-2000 Wednesday 1000-1800 Thursday 1000-1300 Friday 1000-2000 Saturday 1000-1300 Sunday closed

 

 

 

 

 


Andrew Carnegie provided funding for over 2500 libraries between 1883 and 1929 with 660 of them in the UK and Ireland. Thurso is fortunate to have one of these buildings.

At first the libraries were in places with which he had a connection e.g. his hometown, but in the later years almost every town which requested a grant was approved.
