This park is named after George Ringrose who was a long time Mayor in Claresholm
Mayor Ringrose moved to Claresholm in 1906 (the year after Claresholm was incorporated as a town) to manage a furniture store. He later became the towns undertaker and served as mayor from 1927 to 1954.
The Town and the Chamber of Commerce created this park in 2008. The murals (painted by two loal artisans) depict the history and heritage of the town
