When I saw there was going to be a night CITO, GC64TAJ, on Friday the 13th in Jerry Darter Park, I was determined to place a new cache in the park to coincide with it. It was going to be the most epic cache ever. There'd be 32 stages.
Cliffs to climb:
Spelunking on the River Styx:
Deep underwater stages with UV lights:
Wireless beacons from another dimension sent from the Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru:
Planes leaving chem-trail paths in the sky to follow:
And the brand new "ask a hobo" for directions stage: (Patent Pending)
I had it all planned in my head and drove out to the park to lay it out. When I got there I realized the park was just about at cache saturation, a.k.a. cachuration. Soon my mountains crumbled to mole hills, the night tacks were replaced by bright street lights, the underwater became a shallow puddle, the overhead high tension power lines were interfering with my inter-dimensional wireless beacon plans, there were only a few trees, but they were large and blocked my chem-trail, the only river was that created by my tears and the Hobo? Well, he was just a no-show. After a short survey of the situation, I realized my plans had all been a pipe dream. So I did a traditional instead.
Permission was granted by KCMO Park and Rec for this cache.
