Kuninkaantammi

Mutta missä se on? Ei vielä missään ja juuri tällä hetkellä on mahdollisuus tutustua merkilliseen näkymään kuin suoraan Neuvostoliitosta: uutukainen tie halkoo maisemaa, jossa ei kuitenkaan ole tien lisäksi muuta kuin luontoa ja (hylättyjä?) työmaa-ajoneuvoja.
Murtuivatko valtion perustukset alta vai loppuivatko rahat kesken juuri ennen mahtavien suunnitelmien toteutumista? Ei suinkaan, olemmehan edelleen kotoisassa Suomessa.

Alueelle rakennetaan vaiheittain 5 000 asukkaan kaupunginosa, Kuninkaantammi.

Alueen läpi kulkee jo tie jota runkolinjan bussi 560 aloitti kulkemaan 10.8.2015. Tietä käyttävä bussireitti tulee kätkön lähialueelle (sekä Helsingin keskuspuiston alle) rakennetun Paloheinäntunnelin läpi ja kulkee aina Vantaan Myyrmäkeen asti.

Kuninkaantammesta etelään on samanaikaisesti rakenteilla Helene Schjerfbeckin puisto, jonka on määrä toimia kaupunginosan virkistysalueena.
Kätkön välittömässä läheisyydessä on muutamiakin pysäköintipaikkoja. Paikkojen ollessa ajallisia on suositeltavaa pitää pysäköintikiekko matkassa mikäli haluat tutustua seutuun lähemminkin! Paikalle pääsee myös pyöräillen tai kävellen, melkein mistä suunnasta vain, joskin rakennustyöt saattavat ajoittain aiheuttaa kiertoteitä.

Tämä kätkö juhlistaa 400. löydettyä kätköämme sekä merkitsee uuden vaiheen alkamista tässä hienossa harrastuksessa.

But where is it? It is yet nowhere to be found and right at the moment visitors may explore the strange surroundings almost straight out of the former Soviet Union: a brand new road is piercing through the scenery that holds nothing else but nature and (abandoned?) construction vehicles. Did the foundations of a state collapse or did funding run dry before great plans could materialize? Surely not since we still happen to be in homely Finland.

In this area will be built the new district of Kuninkaantammi for some 5000 residents.

Already at the moment a road is going through the area that is used by the bus line 560 that began operating on the 10th of August, 2015. This bus line passes by the cache along the road that approaches from the direction of the recently build Paloheinä tunnel and goes all the way to Myyrmäki, Vantaa.

To the south of Kuninkaantammi a park is being built to act as a recreational area for the residents. This park will be named after the painter Helene Schjerfbeck.

There are a few parking places at the close vicinity of the cache. Since the parking time limit has been set be sure to have a parking disc with you in the case you want to further explore the area. It is possible to approach the area by the means of walking or bicycling, almost from any direction, though the on-going construction work may occasionally create detours.

With this cache we celebrate our 400th found cache and it also marks the beginning of the next stage with this great hobby.
