There’s something I find curious about the bits of land
That somehow become left behind when architecture’s planned.
Triangles, too small for homes, too big to just ignore
And so we get a playground, with speeding trucks next door.
They’re sometimes strangely quiet, these little oblong lots,
Probably because they’re hard to reach from certain spots,
They’re sometimes used by councils, by sports teams or by kids,
And sometimes they are used by people living off the grid.
The place that is Ground Zero is used a bit for sports:
It hosts the Glencairn Tennis Club and Sedgman Tennis Courts.
It’s also got a playground, and now it’s got this hide.
It’s just a little micro, no pen will fit inside.

If you’ve got some extra time, stroll east along McColl.
There’s a concrete overpass quite close to Tulla’s toll.
Along this bridge, someone has placed some concrete silhouettes.
Commissioned or graffiti? I’ve not determined yet.
