Vellano è il capoluogo della Svizzera Pesciatina, nonchè una delle dieci Castella che la compongono. Vasto villaggio con molti abitanti rispetto alle altre Castella. La Pieve dei Santi Martino e Sisto si trova in basso al paese, molto carina. Vi consigliamo di visitare i due vecchi teatri, l' ultima cava operante (in provincia di Pistoia) di pietra serena e il Museo "La miniera di Publio", decisamente un must che vi racconterà la storia del paese (su prenotazione e gratuita). Per trovare la cache dovrete risolvere tre indovinelli che vi permetteranno di ricostruire la coordinata finale. Divertitevi!!!
Vellano is the chief town of Svizzera Pesciatina , as well as one of the ten Castella that compose this one. This is a large village with many inhabitants. The church of Ss. Martino and Sisto is placed down the village, in a very pretty location. You can see its bell tower from the street. We suggest you to visit the two old theaters, the last active quarry (in the province of Pistoia) of Pietra Serena and the Museum " The Mine of Publio ," definitely a must that tells the history of this village (on booking and for free). To find the cache you will have to solve three riddles that will allow you to reconstruct the final coordinate. Enjoy !!!
