When it's cold, rainy, or snowing outside, and you are up for a small challenge and need a cache fix, here is one for you. The coordinates will take you to an historical landmark of Roanoke. The cache is only available M-W from 10a-6p, Thurs 10a-5p, Fri/Sat 10AM-5p and has been placed with permission.
This cache is named after a large, beautiful house that I lived in as a child. It used to be across the street on the hill, but was destroyed by arson. While here, grab the benchmark GW2236. The benchmark is also an historical landmark. The Gothic architecture is few of its kind; the stainglass windows and frescoes are absolutely beautiful and were refurbished by Italian artists. If it is open, the church is worth a visit. Now to find this cache...you need to do some sleuthing. You are looking for a book and must figure out the call number VYL ABC.DEF GHIJ A = Digits to the right of the entrance.
