Geocache Description:

Through the varied habitats of March's Hill (free parking on High Street)...walking along the old rail-trail...with sand dunes. Sand dunes?? Maybe bring a beach chair. Where is water?? Just look up!

Nice field with wildflowers...tall grasses.

Many interesting plants and lichen.

The rail-trail goes all the way to Parker Street. Wonderful!

March's Hill is one of the 20+ parks in the historic and scenic City of Newburyport. It is a favorite place to go sledding. The park itself is an off-leash dog park...what fun our dog Lucy has there! Except when there has been rain...and then only the basin of the mowed lawn in the park kinda fills up.. The un-paved rail-train runs parallel to the east side of the park.

With views of surrounding woodlands.
