Waikōwhai Walkway #1 (Auckland) Traditional Cache

Please read at least this into before attempting

• The cache access is tidal dependent.
• All caches were placed from the coast, on foot, with out equipment.
• Some caches are tethered
• The terrain will be wet slippery, with rocks and very sharp shells
• Do take all due care, a cache is not worth your well being.
• While not a power trail it is possible to do them all in one long beach walk

Tide chart

This is a series of caches (exact number yet to be determined) along the coast line from Onehunga to Blockhouse bay. While some may be accessible at any time, others will require low tide. There are several potential starting points, so consult your maps carefully.
