Who is this "Sally" person, anyway?
I only know one person by that name, and surely, she wouldn't complain about the temperature?
Let's prove this mystery person wrong, by making this run from Snow Hill Rd to C.S. Lee Park on this brisk November day!
We'll meet at the Snow Hill Rd Bridge, in Geneva, around 9:00am, for some schmoozing and vehicle shuttling. Then we'll splash our boats and commence our paddle eastward. I hope to reach the posted coordinates, the Culpepper Bend Storm Shelter, by 2:00pm, though we'll have to be a bit flexible. Following a bit more schmoozing, we'll splash again and set our sights for C.S. Lee Park, on State Rd 46, in Geneva, hopefully arriving by 4:00pm. (Again, be flexible)
To attend, you can meet us at the launch and help us get started, meet us at the landing and help us load boats, hike to the Culpepper Bend Storm Shelter and meet us along the way, or join us for our paddle. If you do paddle, things you'll need include water, (Yes, you still need to hydrate when it's cold), snackage, a PFD and a whistle. You should also bring a pokey stick, a cell phone, long sleeves, a good hat, sun screen and bug spray.
See you there!
