Convidamos todos os geocachers de S. Miguel, bem como os simpatizantes deste “jogo de aventura” a estarem presentes, nas coordenadas indicadas, no dia 19 de fevereiro de 2016, pelas 20H30, para conhecerem um pouco mais sobre o ESPAÇO. O evento termia ás 22H00.
Estará connosco, a convite da Câmara Municipal de Ponta Delgada e do OASA, o cientista Pedro Mota Machado, um excelente “contador de histórias”, doutorado em astrofísica e investigador do Observatório Astronómico de Lisboa.
Vamos viajar juntos através da grande aventura que é a exploração
espacial dos planetas do Sistema Solar. Vamos conhecer alguns dos
mistérios que ainda perduram no Sistema Solar. Vamos explorar a
intrigante atmosfera de Vénus, o peculiar campo magnético de Mercúrio,
poderá mesmo haver água líquida em Marte? Iremos visitar os soturnos
lagos de hidrocarbonetos de Titã e os mares tépidos de Europa...vamos
saber porque é que Plutão foi "despromovido" da categoria planetária.
Vamos discutir a importância de se estudarem os cometas...e os
asteroides?
Será que é real o risco de um dia o "céu nos cair em cima da
cabeça"?
Vamos ainda mais além, passar além da última fronteira do Sistema Solar
e visitar exoplanetas, planetas que orbitam outras estrelas, será que
poderão ter atmosfera?...e vida, será que têm vida?...e o que é isso da
vida?

INVITATION
We invite all geocachers of S. Miguel, as well as the supporters of this "adventure game" to be present at the given coordinates, on February 19, 2016, by 20:30, until 22:00, to know a little more about SPACE.
Will be with us at the invitation of the Municipality of Ponta Delgada and the OASA, the scientist Pedro Mota Machado, a great "story-teller", doctorate in astrophysics and researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of Lisbon.
We will travel together through the great adventure that is the exploitation Space planets in the solar system. Let's meet some of the mysteries that still exist in the solar system. Let's explore the intriguing atmosphere of Venus, the peculiar magnetic field of Mercury,
It can even be liquid water on Mars? We will visit the gloomy Titan's hydrocarbon lakes and seas of Europe tepid ... we know why Pluto was "demoted" planetary category.
We will discuss the importance of studying comets and ...asteroids?
Is it real the risk of one day "in heaven fall upon head"?
Let's even further, going beyond the final frontier of the solar system and visit exoplanets, planets orbiting other stars, will may have atmosphere? ... and life, will have life? ... and what is it life?
