Rainow is great walking country and if geocaching in the area you would almost certainly benefit from the use of the Rainow Parish Paths map that can be bought very cheaply from a number of sources including the local pub, the Robin Hood Inn. The area is well served by geocaches and this cache along with half a dozen others I am currently putting in place is an attempt to fill some of the few gaps in the area. This cache can be combined with any number of other caches in Rainow to create your own purpose built geocaching walk.
This cache is placed on the Gritstone Trail and the impressive seat you can see was placed there by the Rainow Woman's Institute to celebrate the Millenium. It is a great place to enjoy the view of Rainow.
