Geocache Description:

This is the first geocache that we have placed!  The cache is large enough for some SWAG and trackables, but too small for a pen, so BYOP.  This cache is the first in the "Animals You've Never Heard Of" series!  Enjoy!

The Pyrrhuloxia is a bird that lives in the Southern United States.  It is related to the Northern Cardinal of Minnesota. The male has red feathers on it's breast and around it's eyes, and the rest of the bird is gray.  They eat insects, seeds, and other desert plants.

Update: Thanks for all the nice comments on our first hide! As some have noted, depending on how the cache is put back into place it may not be winter friendly, although, that really depends on how much snow we get! I've updated the attributes, for now, as not winter friendly!
