This little cache is hiding in snug little place for you to enjoy finding. You can park nearby, and enjoy a picnic. There is a large area which can be parked on along the coastline. However, please take care not to restrict access to the lifeboat station. (cache is not placed on the slipway/lifeboat station)
This local village was constructed specifically for the railway employees during the 19th Century. These Victorian street layouts are much reminiscent of the period. The port lighthouse is of an unusual design, and has much historical significance.
There are, indeed, spectacular views over Carlingford lough and the Mountains of Mourne given a nice clear day.
Enjoy!
