The Quilt Block Series will be a series of 30 caches that are mostly on back roads in President Township. Some of the roads are posted "No Winter Maintenance." All of the hides should be quick finds and there are pull-offs close-by each cache. There is not alot of traffic on these roads, but please be careful when caching with children.
54 - 40 or Fight
The quilt block was named during the 1840's during the Oregon Boundary Dispute between the United States and Great Britian over the Pacific Northwest. The United States claimed land up to the 54-40 parallel. Eventually the Oregon Treaty was signed at the 49th parallel.
