Geocache Description:

This is a multi-stage cache which will bring you to the Polychrome Historic District in Silver Spring, MD to get some information needed to find the coordinates to the final physical cache location.

The posted coordinates will put you at 3 of the 5 houses that comprise the Polychrome Historic District. The other 2 houses are behind these, on Colesville Rd, but are only accessible by walking around the block.
NOTE: parking at this location is restricted during school days from 8AM - 2PM and there is no parking anytime on Colesville Rd. If you arrive during these hours, I have provided coordinates that will take you to the nearest legal on street parking; from there it's a short walk.

I have lived in this neighborhood for more than 30 years, but only in the past few years have become aware of the significance of these houses. For the title of this cache, I have picked up on Aliengirl's "Hidden Gems" theme.
The Polychrome Historic District is a national historic district in the South Four Corners neighborhood in Silver Spring, Maryland. It recognizes a group of five houses built by John Joseph Earley in 1934 and 1935. Earley used precast concrete panels with brightly colored aggregate to produce the polychrome effect, with Art Deco details.

The final stage will take you to a tiny park where you will find the cache at: N 39° 01.0AB W 077° 01.XAB

A = the historic houses on Sutherland Rd have 2 sets of windows on their second story. How many panes are there in one set of windows on the middle house minus 4?

B = the # of houses that comprise this historic district.

X = the # of round windows facing the streets in these historic houses? HINT: only one house has round windows.

Congrats to JulieBob for the FTF!
