Geocache Description:

A quicky to make you notice and admire the "Standing Stones".

Having two geo caches that focus on Goldsworthy stone creations, I thought this was another one of his. Not so. This is the reponse I got when I asked about it:

"The stone wall was constructed a few years ago as an alternative to a fence.  When golfers come across the road they used to drive and walk across the 18th green to get to the 10th tee.    Stone Mason Buzz Dolph and I (David Hicks) were brainstorming ways to create a wall or fence out of stone and he suggested this standing stone wall with irregular shapes and I liked it.  I still like it and it has served its purpose well."

Please take a moment to admire their beautiful and artistic solution to a problem!

The cache is a small comoed zip lock bag. Please make sure it's sealed well and all of it goes back as you found it, including the rubber band and especially the plastic bag. Without the rubber band, to keep the log rolled, it gets very difficult to get it out of the plastic bag. BYOP. The cache is probably not good in snow, but should be OK during hunting season. It's not behind or right next to the Stones, but close enough for you to enjoy them. Don't park on Warren Rd. Pretend to be a golfer!
