A nice, easy short walk or ride to an old dam site. If you're with kids then please supervise them closely. From the road end (where there is only room for 1 or 2 cars to park), it's about a 10 minute walk, with a ford at the start. May not be suitable after very heavy rain.
Apparently the track links up with Waitekauri (Waikino). Ohinemuri.org.nz (see related web page) has more info on this, along with a GPX file available for download.
