Geocache Description:

The Green County Barn Quilts project started in 2008, and by the end of 2010 the 100th barn quilt was installed. Barn quilts are painted wooden squares (designed like one block of a real quilt pattern), generally 8 x 8 feet in size. Some are located on "working" barns, and others are displayed on "retired" barns. It's not as challenging as geocaching, but hunting for the barn quilt locations is a true adventure in experiencing the roads less traveled of the Green County countryside.

Steve's grandparents Otmar & Lydia Keller bought the farm on October 25, 1946 and sold it on January 29, 1962. They had farmed it for about 10 years before they bought it. Steve and Janet bought it on April 6, 1987. They split the original farm by township. Parcel #1: buildings and 49 acres Clarno township. Parcel #2: 39 acres Monroe township. Parcel #3: 85 acres in Cadiz township (theirs).

The barn is used for storage and horses and is made out of wood and metal.
