The Green County Barn Quilts project started in 2008, and by the end of 2010 the 100th barn quilt was installed. Barn quilts are painted wooden squares (designed like one block of a real quilt pattern), generally 8 x 8 feet in size. Some are located on "working" barns, and others are displayed on "retired" barns. It's not as challenging as geocaching, but hunting for the barn quilt locations is a true adventure in experiencing the roads less traveled of the Green County countryside.
No problem guessing the favored make of tractor at this farm! If you come into the driveway to get a better view, be careful of the ducks that free-range the property. Best road view of this quilt is from the next driveway to the east.
