Hi Geocachers! I'm happy to invite you to my second annual Evil Santa event. Please join me on Saturday, 12 December 2015, from 2-4 pm for an “Evil Santa” holiday party. The gathering is reserved under “Valdosta Geocacher’s” at Mama June's country buffet restaurant (See the "hint" for the address). Please log if you plan to attend AND how many will be in your party so I can ensure we have enough seats at the restaurant.
I've always loved the “Evil Santa” holiday party gift game so I decided to have a geocacher's get together and play our version of this fun holiday game. All geocachers are welcome, those near and far! You don’t need to eat or play the game, just come to enjoy the company of your fellow geocachers and their muggles. Also, please feel free to wear your favorite holiday appeal :0) A prize will be awarded to the “Most Festive” outfit!
We will start the event with eating lunch/socializing and end with the very fun Evil Santa Geocaching gift exchange game. If you would like to get in on the fun and participate in the Evil Santa Geocaching gift exchange, here are the guidelines:
1. Each person who wants to participate brings a wrapped gift. No labels, anonymous only.
2. The theme is Geocaching of course, so geocaching gifts are encouraged.
3. The gift should be valued around $10, but not more than $15. Shop.geocaching.com has a lot of nice gifts around $10-$15 :0) Either a new gift or a geo creation is great…I know we have a lot of crafty geocache creators in our midst :0)
4. If possible, try for unisex gifts so anyone can use or enjoy the gift.
5. If giving geocoins/trackables as gifts, they must be UNactivated so they will belong to the new owner’s collection. You are welcome to bring your activated ones for people to discover or move on, but only new ones as gifts…or they wouldn’t really be a gift :0)
6. No “white elephant” gifts please…to make it fair for everyone. e.g. It’s not fair for someone to get your old dusty candle from home and you get their nice new bottle of wine. We want it to be fun and fair for everyone.
7. Lastly, you need a number to play the game. So when you get to the event, bring the gifts to me to get your number. Try not to let others see the gift you brought, if possible :0)
