James McGee is listed among those who died in the Old Soldier’s Home at Mountain Creek, Chilton County, Alabama. Two sources list him as being buried in the Confederate Memorial Park Cemetery in Chilton County. The marker here at Jenning’s Chapel may be a memorial marker placed in his honor.
