EN: Center of Zagreb is full of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Your task for today (or should I say, tonight) will have you take a better look at a lot of them.
The letters on the photo are taken from the neon signs in the Zagreb center. You should walk (run, skate, cycle or even segway, whichever you prefer) around the marked area (more about it below), and try to find the neon advertisement containing the particular letter. Then, determine the number of characters of the word (not the whole advertisement text) containing this letter, and this will be your value.
In some cases it is not clear what defines the word. Some pointers:
- when there is a space separating it from other words
- when there is a hyphen separating it from other words
- when their color is different from other words colors
So, there are 13 letters in the picture, therefore, you will get the values A-M which you have to put into the formula to get the final coordinates.
The area where to search the letters is more-less the pedestrian area in Zagreb center. It is roughly determined by the 4 waypoint spots, so the area between them is the area where you should conduct your search. Consult the map for the more detailed area – the route is painted red.
Naturally, the best time to look for those is during the night, because of the distinctive colors of the lights. During the daytime it is not completely impossible, but I would say, much more difficult. Furthermore, shops do change ownership during time, so some of them will eventually demise (cease to exist). Don’t hesitate to contact me for clarifications if you encounter problems in the field.
Finally, one should give credit when credit is due: cache is inspired by this cache in Bratislava. Also, many thanks to msokele and his camera for the excellent photography.
Important: “Y” was from the “Bagghy” shop logo in Ilica 19, which was recently closed down. Until I include the other “Y”, it is removed from the formula. Shit happens.

Shit happens.
