We, Two Owls were on holiday this year in Malta for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The weather was far better than expected. Loads of easy and difficult caches to search for. Lots of other interesting activities to keep us occupied. We visited lots of churches..all worthy of a look, lit some candles, visited two of the Bird Sanctuaries (although November is a poor month to watch birds, wildlife), swam many times, got a tan!!, ate extremely well with many local products available ( locally vineyard produced sweet wine with no label..delicious! ...went back for more) prickly pears, amazing fish and bananas to die for. etc, etc . We photographed, chatted and laughed with many of the local people...we especially remember the shopkeeper who was preparing presents in new plastic juice bottles for the local children's Christmas Party where he also plays Santa. This gentleman was called Noel and his birthday is 20th December!!! Also the little cobbler's shop which was a step back in time...charming. We fished, walked, sat and loved the spectacular views of the Maltese countryside.
We will definitely be returning.
If you are on holiday in Malta I hope you enjoy Malta as much as we did.
