Your hosts for the Event is Team Gruffalo and we will be there between 1pm and 3pm. The location has a car park (which is free parking from Oct 31st - Apr 1st) and there is plenty of on road parking along Wick Lane. We are also close to a play park where we can keep a watch for any attending Geokids. I have a smallish gazebo that will be erected should the weather be a bit moist and I believe another cacher will have one as well that will be attending. We welcome all Geocachers old and new to share stories give advice and help from like minded people. If you are new to the scene then this is a perfect time to come and say hi so don't be shy.
Aussie Style you're thinking?
Yup, I'll be doing a BBQ of hotdogs and burgers (veggie if required) at no cost to you. All I need to know is which one would you like? If you can let me know in your attend log please so I can ensure there is enough to go round. If you're really feeling brave (or just silly like me) please feel free to dress up Aussie style for some giggles.
If anyone is interested I will have TB's for sale (15) see the pic in the gallery for anyone that can't make the Imbibing 4 Foreign Territories event (GC64PNG). These are non-profit TB's so once cost is taken all remaining proceeds will be donated to Help For Heroes. These TB's have been made exclusively for The Odyssians for the event. Also they are holding a TB race for the TB's to see which one can go the furthest away from GZ of the Event. If you are interested in a TB or joining in the race please either drop me or The Odyssians a line for more info. The TB's are being sold at £6 each and remaining TB's/cash will be given to Mary when we see her on the 27th. As to the race, it's a year long journey that officially starts on January the 1st 2016 and will finish on December the 31st. As said, if you want more info just drop either of us a line.
Secret Santa.
If you would like to take part, and it isn't compulsory, please wrap a gift that a fellow geocacher might like to receive, and bring it to the event. We'll mix them all up and redistribute to the participants. Be creative, geocaching / outdoor items / seasonal fayre etc. It's suggested a maximum value of £7.50 please.
Raffle
Having a chat with other cachers at meet #39 I hadn't planned on doing one but a few said yes, do one. I've not decided where to donate it to yet but it will be a worthy cause. We would be extremely grateful for any donations.
