Geocache Description:

Long bark proves to be a problem in bushfires with embers spotting a large distance ahead of the fire. Nearby is a Neighbourhood Safer Place, this is an absolute last resort to be there in a bushfire emergence. Take a look around at the vegetation, know your area and stay updated. Enjoy the area

This medium cache (with tradables) is located near a section of bushes that need stealth to find. Nearby is a parkland with long bark/ribbony bark trees. In a bush fire situation, long bark has a larger spotting distance away from the head of the fire, up to 20kms. After finding the cache take a step away and look for the neighbourhood safer place sign, you may have to go to it (just a short walk). These places are areas of last resort, your best option is to have a plan in place to enact depending on the Fire danger rating for that day. These can be found on the Fire Ready App, along with the CFA website. It is important to remember that these places of last resort are for when all your plans have failed. Leave early and live. Stay safe.
