This is where I was born, so I thought it would be a good place to put a micro during the month of my birth.
St Davids hospital was built in 1913-4 as a Poor Law Infirmary to replace the old Caernarfon road Workhouse.
During WW1 it was used as a military Hospital. And then was left empty for two years. In the mid 20's it returned to being a Poor Law institute. It became a County hospital in 1930 under Carrnarfon County Council.
On 1st of July 1948 it came under the new NHS, and came under full control in 1951.
The building was demolished in 1994, and the area was developed into a retail park, where the gym that I have just joined is situated!
