Tour guide J*B here, our next stop on the MnSQuest brings us to the shopping district of Rogers.
History -In the 1880s, John Rogers sold an acre of his land, then part of Hassan Township, to Great Northern Railroad for a dollar. The new depot provided a convenient stop for the rich timber resources of the area, and served as the beginning ground of a new community. When St. Martin Catholic Church and school were added, Rogers grew in local importance, consequently causing new businesses to be built and the town to be regarded as more of a local hub than other nearby communities such as Fletcher. In 1914, the city was incorporated.
The Posted Coords will take you to St. Martin cemetery in Rogers that is squeezed in the middle of office buildings and shopping area and it's passed by thousands of people everyday and they probably don't even notice it's here but I did! I remember stopping at it when I first moved to Minnesota and now that I'm doing my own MnSQuest I decided to bring YOU here! As I made my rounds looking for a tombstone to use I saw this one with its beautiful scenery and the first thing that came to mind was "Where's the Cache hidden?
