As a hiker turned geocacher, it is all about the hike for me, and a bit of bushwhacking has never deterred me from my goal. This cache requires bushwhacking. Depending on the angle you approach, it may require a good deal of bushwhacking. There is an unmaintained trail that is in very good shape for an unmaintained trail, so I think it is getting a decent amount of foot traffic, and you can see it clearly on the map. If you can find the trailhead for this off of Strauss, it will get you close, and take you close to another off trail cache in the park. I did not take that route, choosing to bushwhack from the connection of the feeder trail off of Strauss and Ceder Break. Either way, it is a hike, it is not well marked, but it is a lovely area with lots of trees, not too many thorns, and little evidence of poisonous plants.
You are looking for a regular sized ammo can, tethered in place, with a $2 bill for FTF. Happy hiking and bushwhacking!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ARLINGTONTRAINS7 FOR FTF!!
