Geocache Description:

As you enjoy your hike along the Horseshoe Trail. your mind can wander to consider many different things. How about Benjamin Franklin? We in the Philadelphia area are proud of this great and extraordinary human being and builder of our nation. Many wise sayings are attibuted to him.

 

He is also known for the wisdom that he imparted to others. He is also remembered for saying:

  • I didn’t fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.
  • Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.
  • Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.
Ben Franklin may or may not have said "A Penny Saved Is a Penny Earned." However the winter of 2018-19 has been so easy on .the squirrels. Where they usually hoard nuts and seeds and everything else they can gather, this year they scattered loose coins in the woods. THERE IS ONE ESPECIALLY LEFT FOR GEOCACHERS TO FIND, BUT NOT TO KEEP.
