To find the actual cache location, you will need to complete a little straightforward puzzle (suitable for kids) that will test your knowledge of dogs / breeds. Have fun!

A – Breed named after an area of Canada. Hunting dog, water lover, fetches game. DR (2 words).

B – Looks like a small greyhound. 1980 single by new wave band Devo. DR (1 word) minus 7. 

C – Snoopy is one. DR (1 word) minus 4.

D – Rin Tin Tin. Police dog. DR (2 words) plus 2.

E – One form of this breed is the Landseer. DR (1 word).

F – Wild Australian dog. DR (1 word).

G – Hagrid’s pet Fang was this breed (in the Harry Potter movies, not the books). BIG dog. Ancient Italian breed. Two words. DR plus 2.

H – QEII has owned more than 30 of this breed. DR (1 word, singular) minus 3.

I – Scooby Doo is one. DR (2 words) plus 5.

J – Mickey Mouse’s mustard colored pet. DR his name, plus 5.

Note – DR means “digital root” – add up the numerical equivalent for each letter (a=1, b=2…z=26), then if required add the digits in the resulting number until you get to a single number, which is the “root”. So, for a word like DOG, the digital root is 4+15+7=26, and 2+6=8. You can find apps or websites that will do this calculation for you.
