Oh, Christmas Tree, Black Friday, #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Froggie GR MI: I checked up on this one yesterday. It was not were it was supposed to be and I could not find it on the ground or anywhere else nearby. It lasted longer than I had hoped for along this busy trail. Guess it's time for it to go. Thanks to all who searched for it.

Geocache Description:

On Black Friday our thoughts turn to presents. What better present for our geocaching friends at a time when snow is likely, than new geocaches that are winter friendly? This Black Friday we avoided the malls and took to the woods and placed a couple caches for you to find.

Yes, this container was set out on Black Friday but the cache could not be approved due to some issues with the location. It is now a few miles away along the Paul Henry Trail. You should be able to tell that you are at the right location since there are some rather obvious clues at the site.

Edit 2017: We removed our decorations, but others show up now and then in the area. Not all are at "our" immediate site.

This search is a pleasant walk along a paved path, only a short hike from a paved parking lot. The cache is a small camouflaged container that should be winter friendly. It has a bit of room for very small trade items. Please replace the rubber band on the logbook to make it easier to remove from the container.

Merry Christmas to all and enjoy the outdoors!
