The three ponds here are used by the DNR as fish rearing ponds. At this time I do not know if they are using them now. A few years back the DNR opened Joe's Lake to liberal fishing, they wanted to clear the lake out as much as possible. Liberal fishing is not on now.
One of the ponds has no trespassing signs along the shore. it may be in use to raise fish. This area is known as Joe's Lake preserve.
