Geocache Description:

Toronto's harbour has been used since the founding of Toronto for shipping and industrial purposes. Prior to the 1972 federal election, Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau announced the "Harbourfront Corporation", a federal Crown Corporation established in 1972. Thereafter, Harbourfront Centre was formed on January 1, 1991 as a non-profit charitable organization with a mandate to organize and present public events and to operate a 10-acre (40,000 m2) site encompassing York Quay.

Today, the newly designed Harbourfront welcomes tourists from all over the world to emerse in the beauty and splendor of our city's waterfront. From kayaks to yachts, from restaurants to boardwalks, this part of Toronto offers a place for true relaxation and serenity as one takes a step south from the bustle of Toronto's busy streets. This cache is hidden in a calm and peaceful spot.. Find your way south, past Queens Quay as you maintain your gaze upon the lakeside you approach. Just keep moving forward and by all means use the hand rail if required. Thus, take a well deserved rest your right... sit, relax and take in your surroundings. You will find a little something to welcome you very close by.
