I like to take the kids kayaking over there. They think it’s cool that they kayaked to another island. While you are there you can do some snorkeling or a bit of hiking. You will need some shoes and maybe gloves if you really want to explore though.
There used to be a cache located here, but it’s been archived (props to Bishdog, first and last find in 2009). I think this is a great place for a cache so I replanted one. I walked all over and couldn’t settle on a good spot. In the end I made it a little easier to find. You won’t have to climb all over and I don’t think gloves are necessary. There are some natural steps right from the beach that take you up and it’s easy walking from there. Something for your feet would be a good idea though due to the sharp coral you’ll be climbing up. When placing this I noticed the accuracy of the GPS seemed to be fluctuating. Maybe due to the rocks I was next to. Please let me know if you have any trouble finding the cache. The placement looks pretty good on the map though.
The cache is a Pelican 1010 Micro Case (2” x 4” x 6”). FTF gets an unactivated 15 Years of Geocaching Trackable Lego Brick. Have fun!
Congratulations to Henrikvd for FTF!
