Geocache Description:

This is nice little island situated just off the main coastline in Agana Bay.  You can make your way there by walking, swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding.  During low tide it’s an easy walk, but during high tide the water may get up to around 4-5 feet I think.  It’s a popular place for tourists to explore also.  I used to call this Alupag Island because that’s how it’s labeled on the Guam Guide & Dive Map, but I think Alupat is right.

I like to take the kids kayaking over there.  They think it’s cool that they kayaked to another island.  While you are there you can do some snorkeling or a bit of hiking.  You will need some shoes and maybe gloves if you really want to explore though.

There used to be a cache located here, but it’s been archived (props to Bishdog, first and last find in 2009).  I think this is a great place for a cache so I replanted one.  I walked all over and couldn’t settle on a good spot.  In the end I made it a little easier to find.  You won’t have to climb all over and I don’t think gloves are necessary.  There are some natural steps right from the beach that take you up and it’s easy walking from there.  Something for your feet would be a good idea though due to the sharp coral you’ll be climbing up.  When placing this I noticed the accuracy of the GPS seemed to be fluctuating.  Maybe due to the rocks I was next to.  Please let me know if you have any trouble finding the cache.  The placement looks pretty good on the map though.

The cache is a Pelican 1010 Micro Case (2” x 4” x 6”).  FTF gets an unactivated 15 Years of Geocaching Trackable Lego Brick.  Have fun!

Congratulations to Henrikvd for FTF!
