Following the use of the Kor mac bracelets, you and Vala Mal Doran collapse when more than 100 ft away from each other. Whilst you and Vala are no longer wearing the bracelet, the bond appears to have been made more permanent by the recent use of the long-range communication device. Whilst undertaking examinations at SGC, Vala mentions to you that she knows a Scientist who can help. SGC agree to allow you and Vala to go off world but only for 1 hour at a time due to concerns over the ongoing side efffects. You are advised to return to SGC between planets for check ups.
You and Vala travel to Othala to meet the Scientist named Arlos Kadawam. It is during introductions that you learn that Vala not only stole the bracelets from Arlos, but also his heart. Arlos confirms that he can sever the bond but only if Vala returns his Mother’s necklace. Vala who has already sold the necklace but insists that they will get it back.
Travelling to Edora, you meet a Jaffa named Inago, who has the necklace but wants back the useless power coil from an obsolete Tel’tak that Vala stole. You agree to trade before heading to the next Planet, Euronda to retrieve the power coil from a monk named Caius. The only problem is, Caius was once a thief and naturally sold the power coil to a Pawn Broker.
Pushing forward, the mission takes you and Vala to P3X-984 where Hertis the Pawn Broker (for a small fee) releases the Buyers details. You and Vala procced to P3X-118 to meet Martouf. Martouf agrees to trade but only if Vala returns his modified Tel’tak that she stole. The only problem is that the Tel’tal is now in the hands of Tenat and Jup, two incompetent aliens who planned to bring back Vala since she defied the Lucian Alliance.
You and Vala travel to K'Tau to meet Tenat and Jup. You pretend that you have captured Vala begin bartering with Tenat and Jup. Soon enough, Tenant and Jup are fighting over the terms of the barter allowing you and Vala the opportunity to board and steal the Tel’tak. Thanks to Martouf’s modifications, you and Vala are able to out-run the Lucian Alliance who attempted to ambush the trade.
You trade everything back to its’ rightful Owners and return the necklace to Arlos, Although pleased, the Scientist admits that he can’t sever the bond and believes the effect will wear off by itself. Something which displeases you to no end. Guess you’ll be stuck with Vala for the next few missions!
