This cache is to honour and remember Krystal Kath's rough-coat Jack Russell 'Petunia' (Paty), and my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 'Triscadec Acacia' (Cacie) who are no longer with us.
This was a favourite haunt of our dogs - especially good for playing "stone", or "ball".
Enjoy walking your dog here
but please do keep your dog under control at all times.
Time your walk and geocaching at low to mid tide, else you will need to wade if you're too close to high tide.
The original geocache was taken by a dog that wanted the toy. The replacement geocache was taken by the tide. The last cache has been buried under a cliff collapse, so it's obviously time to move it... vertically!

We used to walk the dogs from the lower carpark along the Herekawe walkway following the top of the cliff to the steps beneath Paritutu and back along the beach to the start. That's a 2km walk.
The geocache is still on the route but near the track above rather than on the beach.
Please keep your animals and kids safe, as it is relatively near the cliff edge.
Be extra careful if you're doing it at night
