Geocache Description:

The terrain for this cache is steep and muddy in places. From #2, cross the bridge and proceed up the track. Where it opens into a field, keep to the left, and you will see a stile and footpath heading up through the trees. If you peer through the undergrowth on your left you can look down onto the lake. Please fold in the sides of the cache bag before you close it over to ensure that it remains watertight, and replace the cache in the same position you found it.

Generic Series Information:

The Coleridge series takes the cacher in a loop passing Euridge, Widdenham and the village of Colerne, on a route of just under 4 miles. This may be done in its' own right, or as an extension of the Thickridge Eight series. If done on its' own, parking is available in the village as shown on the descriptions for caches 7 and 8.  The parking at the indicated location and nearby estates is unrestricted, but please note that closer parking along the high street and market place is restricted to the specified time limits. In the vicinity of Euridge you will pass two of the Thickridge Eight caches and Mr Monk Monk's Wood. There is also the church micro in Colerne. The wooded section of the route around #8 and #9 has a narrow path and a long steep drop at the side in places. There are some steep hills, and In the winter much of the route can become extremely muddy; - sturdy walking boots are recommended. The elevations, starting from #1 are as follows:

Many of the caches are in clip top boxes of varying sizes in camouflaged bags. Please fold in the sides of the cache bag before you close it over to ensure that it remains watertight. No caches are hidden in or on dry stone walls, so please take care not to disturb these in any way. Some fields may contain cattle or sheep, so please ensure that you keep your dog on a lead. If you bring a dog, in the unlikely event of cattle chasing you should release your dog and allow him to run away. I have always found them to be very friendly.
