Cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.
Logic is fun!! For my first hide, I’ve put together a geocaching logic puzzle. You’ve been provided with a grid containing four categories; cache size, time found, cacher alias, and cache location. Using ONLY the six clues given, your goal is to deduce the time and place each cache was found and who found them.
Your very important logic grid can be found here. It will be much easier if you are able to print this grid.
Disregard the numbers in red while solving the puzzle, they will be used later to help find the coordinates.
If you don’t know how to solve a logic puzzle, a tutorial can be found here.
CLUES
1. The cache found at 1pm is not a micro; the micro was found in Highland Park at a different time.
2. The cacher who made a successful find at 2pm was not Pblaing. Pblaing also did not find the medium-sized cache. The medium-sized cache was found an hour later than when Jwheels1 found his cache in Highwood.
3. The
sized cache was found at 3pm.
4. The cache in Lake Bluff was found at 4pm, and the cacher’s alias is longer than that of the cacher who found their cache in Lake Forest.
5. The large cache was found by Zaxel one hour earlier than when the small cache was found.
6. Odyn did not find his cache in Deerfield.
Solve it? Yay! Time to find the coords!
COORDINATES
Now it’s time to look at those red numbers on the logic grid. Using the clues provided below, match the correct answer with the number beside it to fill in the coordinates here.
Clues
- Coordinate A is next to the location where the large cache was found.
- Coordinate B is next to the location where the medium cache was found.
- Coordinate C is next to the location where the small cache was found.
- Coordinate D is next to the cacher who found the small cache.
- Coordinate E is next to the cacher who found the large cache.
- Coordinate F is next to the cacher who found the
cache.
