Geocache Description:

It's time for the 2nd Annual Picnic for the NWI Geocachers ~ SUMMERSTOCK at Woodland Park Ottowa Shelter in Portage, IN. Tons of fun to be had by all. Food, activities, caching...

A suggested $5 donation to help recoup costs of FOOD for Summerstock would be greatly appreciated. SCHEDULE:

JUST BRING YOUR OWN NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND YOURSELF!!

11:00 am - LET IT BEGIN!! Sign the log if you wish, Meet-n-Greet, roam around, watch clouds, do picnic-y warm up stuff; check out Silent Auction Items
12:00 pm - Lunch Provided!! (see details below)
1:00 - :15 pm Group Photo
1:15 - 2:00 pm MEET HOOSIER REVIEWER- Go to the "Go To" guy with your questions. Indiana's Volunteer Reviewer, Hoosier Reviewer, will be available for meet-n-greet-n-Q&A
1:45 - 2:00 Silent Auction Results (need not be present)
3:00 pm - Official end of event. You are more than welcome to hang around, though.

*Note: We have the shelter for the whole day and you are more than welcome to stay as long as you like. Geocaching Rules apply; please leave the area in as good as, or better, shape than you found it.
There should be plenty of picnic table seating, but if you prefer to bring your own chair, please feel free.

ACTIVITIES:

The Traveling Trackable Travel Bug Photo Prop will be on hand complete with props to express your inner goofiness... DISCOVER yourself!

A Kids Craft Corner will be available. Come have a seat and make yourself some signature SWAG. Supplies will be provided.
Various outdoor games will be available for your leisurely pleasure if you so choose to partake.
A Silent Auction will be ongoing and results will be known in the 1 - 2 PM hour most likely. Feel free to peruse the wares and make a bid if you wish. Check with the registration table for more details. Items will be unveiled the day of the event.
There is a small playground right at the shelter.
There is also a good sized dog park near the Willowcreek entrance and within short walking distance from the shelter.

Polish ~ Jumbo Dogs ~ Tornados ~ Pulled Pork ~ Rolls and all the Fixings ~ Side Salads / Chips ~ Fruit / Desserts more... BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED

More Notes: The Ottowa Shelter at Woodland Park is wheelchair friendly. Restrooms are within eye shot of the shelter, (also wheelchair friendly). We gladly welcome pets at our event. PLEASE keep them leashed; clean up afterward.
