Geocache Description:

A food and geochat caching meetup for regulars and newbies, in the surroundings of the Ikea Restaurant in Ballymun, Dublin.

January is the month for post-Christmas diets.

But towards the end of January, most people get sick of such nonsense. The idea of eating lettuce and rice cakes again for breakfast fills most people with dread. Instead, they crave a massive, greasy fry-up. A nine item fry up, maybe with white toast and cinnamon bun for dessert. Perfect excuse for Swedish Breakfast time.

The Swedish Breakfast series is one of Dublin and Belfasts regular events, taking place approximately every ten weeks... ample time to have tried the hints gleaned from the previous meetup! So come join us for breakfast in Dublin on Sunday, 31st January from 930am until 1130am. That said, we have been known to stay past lunchtime and if anyone shows up after the official end I will of course keep the logbook open. We'll meet in the restaurant on the very top floor of Ikea (go in via the main entrance under the building and just follow the escalators) at one of the tables. The restaurant opens at 930am and I will have my food and be seated at about 945am. If you're eating, I would suggest getting food before meeting the group due to the fact that you can get free tea/coffee (with unlimited free refills) from 930am to 1000am. We typically sit in the same place everytime, so once you've paid and gotten your tea/coffee/sugar, look towards the windows in the corner to the south west of the restaurant!

There is however, absolutely no requirement to buy food or drink at the venue; however I would imagine it is hard to watch other people tearing into bacon and sausages when you're having nothing... There is plenty of healthier food available, but I just can't resist a good fry....

This will be an opportunity to help travel bugs and geocoins on their way as well as eat a hearty breakfast ready for your own Sunday caching adventures. Bring your own personal coin/bug selection for discovery and bring your questions about that annoying puzzle along too. You may (or may not) get help! If you have any plans for upcoming caches, this event would be a great time to discuss them with the group. If you're thinking of going to your first event, come along! If you're thinking of a days shopping, why not tie it in with an event cache??

As an aside, I don't actually have anything specific to buy here this time round. But I will have to make a pilgrimage to the food section to buy sweets. They're popular with the parents down in Cork, and I have to keep them on my side! Don't let me forget!

To/from the event:
There is an absolutely incredible amount of free parking in the Ikea carpark so car is by far the best way to get here. Sporadic buses (13/13A) will get you to Ikea, even at this hour on a Sunday.

Please note this one is in DUBLIN! Northern cachers please bear in mind it is about a ninety minute drive at the speed limit to the Dublin Ikea from the outskirts of Belfast.
