As so much of Albert Park and South Melbourne, St. Vincent Gardens has the gold rush to thank for its genesis and development. The design of the the Gardens was first conceived around 1854-5 whilst the planting and development occurred around 1864-70, spanning the beginning and end of the gold rush period. The large rectangular area with semi-circular crescents at either end surrounded by terraced housing we see today dates back to a set plans written in 1869. The western half which houses this cache is also home to the Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club founded in 1883. If you're interested in joining, plan on waiting at least 4 years. There is a children's playground at the far western end but the cache is sited well away from it for obvious reasons. You are looking for a 200ml sistema hidden by natural camo. The level of difficulty reflects the lack of protection from observation. Please exercise a suitable degree of stealth in retrieving and replacing the cache.
